The Thorold Arms journey continues...
The refurbishment of The Thorold Arms continues with the plumbing and electrical re-wiring first fixes now completed. Many skilled and unskilled volunteers have assisted with demolition, 'humping and dumping', cleaning and painting and we are very grateful for their expertise, humour and assistance. The two sub-committees, Tenancy and Design have also produced some fantastic work that will help to take our project forward and will make a real difference to the pub.
We are hoping to contract a builder imminently so that we can move full steam ahead with the hope that the pub will open soon after Easter (fingers crossed).
Our recruitment drive to find tenants for the pub has been successful, and interviews for prospective candidates will take place this Saturday. Ahead of these, we have invited them to Harmston Memorial Hall's temporary pub service, which takes place from 6pm-9pm every Friday. Please feel free to come along this Friday (1st March) to say hello and introduce yourselves.
We hope to see you there!
